The engine behind the ContentMod API and Discord bot. Try a scam DM, a rude comment, or a line from your own platform.
rating R · en
- 01Contains your banned word "telegram"
- 02Reads as spam or a scam, scored 100
- 03Strong language, severity 80
- 04Profanity is masked in the cleaned text
It reads the message,
not the keywords.
Word lists flag "kill" in a news story and miss "k y s". ContentMod judges what the author is actually doing, in whatever language they wrote it.
gg ez, you got absolutely destroyed lmao
The suspect shouted “I will kill you all” before police arrived.
nobody likes you, just k y s already
eres un pendejo de mierda, cállate ya
I've been feeling really low lately. Does anyone know a good hotline?
One engine. Everywhere your users post.

"A Discord DM from a moderation bot, saying a message was removed for strong language."
matches telegram
Leetspeak and spacing still match. Any hit marks it unsafe.
Rules handle the clear cases. People get the grey ones.
Same engine, as a bot. See the Discord page
Content is data, never instructions. Trying to steer the verdict raises the spam score instead.
Ship it in an afternoon. Act on it in one line.
import { ContentMod } from "@contentmod/sdk" const cm = new ContentMod({ publicKey, secretKey }) const result = await cm.text.moderate(comment.body, { bannedWords: ["telegram", "whatsapp"], }) if (result.suggestedActions.reject) return hide(comment) if (result.suggestedActions.review) queueForReview(comment) publish({ ...comment, body: result.filteredContent })
14 categories.
A threshold for each.
Every category comes back with a severity, so a gaming server and a kids' app can share one engine and still draw the line in different places.

Questions
What can it moderate?
Text and images. Every result has a verdict, a suggested action, risk scores and categories. Images also get a written description.
Which languages does it support?
Any language. Content is judged in the language it was written in, and the result tells you which language that was.
How fast is it?
Usually a couple of seconds. If you'd rather not wait, pass a callback URL and the result arrives by webhook.
Can I set my own rules?
Yes. Send banned words with any request, set a threshold per category for Discord and review queues, and let queues accept or reject automatically.
What happens to the content I send?
Results are saved to your project's history so your team can look back in the dashboard. You can delete any item through the API.
What if I go over my plan?
New requests are refused when you reach your plan's limit, unless you allow overage in your billing settings.
